Professor Eyad Elkord is a distinguished cancer immunologist and internationally recognized expert in oncoimmunology and cancer immunotherapy. He is currently the Director of the Centre of Excellence for Oncology and Immunology at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU), China, and Honorary Professor at the University of Salford, UK.

Over a career spanning more than two decades, Prof. Elkord has held academic and leadership positions at leading institutions in the UK, UAE, Qatar, Oman, and China. His research focuses on immune regulation, cancer immunology and immunotherapy, and the development of novel therapeutic strategies for cancer treatment.

Prof. Elkord has published extensively in peer-reviewed international journals and in recognition of his scientific impact, he has been listed among Stanford University’s Top 2% Scientists Worldwide for six consecutive years (2020–2025) and was named among Elsevier’s Most Highly Cited Chinese Researchers in 2024 and 2025. He has received numerous awards for research excellence and scholarship throughout his career.
