Biography:

Keivan Armani is an Honorary Senior Research Fellow, working closely with colleagues in the Department of Infectious Disease Epidemiology, School of Public Health, Imperial College London, and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital to deliver high-quality translational research. He is also a Visiting Professor at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, UCSI University, Malaysia.

He is a pharmacist by training, a clinical pharmacist by specialisation, and holds a PhD in Medical Education and Public Health (PhD, MClin Pharm, B.Pharm). He has worked as an academic in schools of pharmacy and medicine at three universities across two continents. He has taught a wide range of topics, from pharmacology and therapeutics to bedside clinical teaching in secondary care settings. He has also developed and delivered modules on a variety of clinical topics, including evidence-based medicine.

For his PhD research, he investigated changes in HIV/AIDS-related stigmatising attitudes among undergraduate pharmacy and medical students at an Australian university and two Malaysian universities.
