Lamia Chaari Fourati is a Professor at the Computer Science and Multimedia Higher Institute, Sfax University, and a researcher at the Digital Research Center of Sfax (CRNS), Laboratory of Signals, Systems, Artificial Intelligence, and Networks (SM@RTS). She focuses her research activities on the design and validation of new protocols and mechanisms for emerging network technologies. Her research activities are related to digital telecommunication networks, particularly wireless access networks, sensor networks, vehicular networks, the Internet of Things, 5G, software-defined networks, information-centric networks, wireless body area networks, and unmanned aerial vehicles.
In these areas, she is interested in problems such as quality of service provisioning (congestion control, admission control, resource allocation, etc.), cybersecurity, and ambient intelligence. Her scientific publications have received significant interest from the scientific community, and her work has been published in top-tier journals and conferences. She has published more than 60 papers in journals and more than 90 papers in conferences. Prof. Lamia Chaari Fourati is the laureate of the Kwame Nkrumah Regional Awards for Women 2016 (North Africa Region).
