Kashif Ahmad received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar, Pakistan, in 2010 and 2013, respectively, and his Ph.D. degree from the University of Trento, Italy, in 2017. During his Ph.D. studies, he worked with the Multimedia Laboratory in DISI at the University of Trento. He is currently working as a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science at Munster Technological University, Cork, Ireland. He previously worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Hamad Bin Khalifa University, Doha, Qatar, and Trinity College Dublin, Ireland.
His research interests include multimedia analytics, social network analysis, artificial intelligence, and natural language processing applications in smart cities. He has been involved in several funded research projects. He is also a program committee member of several international conferences, including CBMI, ICIP, and MMSys.
